Guest guest
I would love to contact any celeb listed in your most recent Email, Tina ! Is there anyway you can get Emails, addresses or direct contact people. I feel I would be able to put together a good letter with important facts in regard to helping our children and people conflicted with this condition. Guest guest
I would like to contact any celebs who have a child and / or relative inflicted with autism. It doesn't matter who... as long as they are personally affected by this disease. Michele Davies isoaa@... 201-703-1060
Guest guest
Sylvester Stallone has an adult son with autism. Marc might be able to find out where he lives. Kathy -NNY
Guest guest
Olsen ( " " of Brady Bunch fame) has a five-year-old with autism. Travolta and Preston's son, Jett, also has autism, but they are very private about it and may not want to get involved. They went public with a cover story in Redbook magazine about his battle (at age 2) with Kawasaki's Disease, a severe immune reaction to environmental factors; in Jett's case, it was probably from chemicals in carpet shampoo. But no mention of his autism. I know about it because Travolta's neice is best friends with my goddaughter. Seems to me there's an obvious connection there. Guest guest
Wow I never knew that Jett was Autistic? Why are they so private about it, and not more outspoken about Autism Research and Awareness?? With their celebrity status, you think they would want to be more outspoken about it? Why degree of Autism does Jett have, do you know? So, you dont think they would want to be involved? Vicki Lowery mommy to HFA 5.7 years old. Guest guest
My understanding is that Jett is non-verbal. I know he's homeschooled, and on a special diet ( Preston mentioned in the article in Redbook that he is kept off of dairy and gluten, but again, she didn't say anything about autism, just that he has all these " sensitivities " ). I imagine that probably they want to protect Jett from the glare of publicity. When you have the level of celebrity that Travolta has, life is lived in a fish bowl, and they probably want to give him as much normalcy and privacy as possible. IF that's possible. I can't say that I blame them for putting Jett's needs first, but it really would be such a boost to have a celebrity of Travolta's magnitude as a spokesperson. Maybe they can be convinced to change their mind about it. Who knows? Keep in mind, what I'm telling you is third-hand information. My best friend is my source. Her daughter is best friends with Jett's cousin, and when my son got his diagnosis, she shared this with me; otherwise, she would have had no reason to tell me about Jett. Donna Re: Celeb contacts?
