Guest guest
Hi, Whenever you begin treating for a virus, bacteria, yeast, etc. there will be symptoms that are usually referred to as die-off. We usually saw symptoms after a couple of days on medication. Both of my boys have taken the anti-virals and they had similar symptoms at first. Once the medication had the virus(es) under control we saw very obvious improvement. My boys usually improved within 2wks, some children have longer die-off periods. What you are seeing is usually a good sign that you are hitting some type of virus, so don't despair. Make sure to include all the details in your next update with Dr. Cheryl >From: " sue1jeff2001 " <jeffb@...> >Reply- > >Subject: valtrex >Date: Mon, 10 Jun 2002 15:23:41 -0000 > >our three year old started on valtrex 2 weeks ago. the first few days >he was very alert and since is very fogy and tired. does anyone know >what this type of reaction means? thanks > > >Responsibility for the content of this message lies strictly with >the original author, and is not necessarily endorsed by or the >opinion of the Research Institute. > > >
Guest guest
if you are still having trouble getting the Valtrex down, try crushing it then mixing into a frozen dessert, such as Moca Mix " ice cream " or Tofutti Cuties...the colder the medium, the better the taste can be tolerated. mary nunan
