We'll, we got home last night after another trip to CA to see Dr Goldberg.

The flight back took longer than usual due to the storms in the south and near

Chicago.

A few observations I'd like to make to perhaps help others. I'll be adding these

(and others) to our CATRIP working aid.

- We used UNITED this time and it was a MUCH better trip. Straight flight from

BWI

to LAX. Nice people and good meals (we did have to bring food for to

eat).

- We rented our car with Global Positioning in it again from Hertz. Well worth

the money!

You punch in where you want to go and it guides you along the way.

- We first visited San Diego. What great weather! 62 degrees! (compare that

tothe 90+

hazy hot humid crap we have here in MD). We visited Sea World and Legoland.

We were quite happy with both! Both took AAA which gave us nice discounts.

Neither were overly crowded and had nice places to eat (with grilled chicken

and veggies).

Legoland is great for kids under 10 !

- We traveled north to Los Angelos for a trip to Disneyland, Dr Silton and Dr

Goldberg.

- Disneyland: we won't be going back there for quite some time. We picked

up our

'disability coupon and sticker' from Customer Service (aka City hall).

The coupon

is suppose to be used on all rides where there is a disability ramp - it

gets you to the front

of the line quicker. Well - let's say it did nothing for us. None of the

rides for

had entrances for the disabled. Disneyland was VERY crowded. Places

where could

eat were hard to find. There was ice cream everywhere but nothing casein

free (except near

the end in Futureland where we found slurpees). Suggestion: if you opt to

try Disneyland,

get a 3 or 5 day pass and stay at one of the area hotels. Disneyland does

not offer AAA

discounts.

- we stayed again at the Wyndhym Courtyard suites in Chatsworth, a 10 min

drive to Dr G

and 5 min drive to Dr Silton. Again, a very nice facility. Rooms have a

full kitchen.

You can get 1-2 BR units. Breakfast is available, there's a pool and

exercise room.

There is a restaurant on the corner that has a good selection of food and

tastes homecooked.

- As always, our visit with Dr Goldberg was too short :o(

So we tried to make good use of our time with him.

I did get to browse Laurie's wedding album :o)
