Guest guest
sounds like cocksackie. if it is, it will run it's course. Dr. Mom Hi, Alan has been telling me the last couple days, " I have a chickenpox in my mouth and it hurts " . I took it upon myself to give him Valtrex I had- 1/2 of a 1 gram pill. He had been on a trial of Valtrex 2 years ago but the doctor discontinued it. It seemed to give him headaches, and he said " my head hurts " today. No one here will take the virus issue seriously. I don't know how or when we will be getting to Dr. G. What should I do next? Gretchen
Guest guest
Gretchen, it's possible that the headaches are viral related. Whenever you work against some type of infection you temporarily stir things up a bit. My son gets OCD from bacteria. (in addition to the other things triggering his ASD symptoms) I can always tell when the antibiotic is going to be effective because he will get headaches about two days into treatment. After the headache is over his symptoms dramatically improve. There is also the possibility that he was reacting to the blue dye on Valtrex. Most of us wash the dye off when using it.
