Guest guest
Sorry to barging in on your conversation. I just have one question: does everybody have a die off reaction? My daughter has been on Valtrex for 7 days and I did not notice any die off reaction, but I did notice that her tantrums became shorter and she became much calmer. Just lucky or Valtrex does not work? Die Off Sue, The die of usually occurs after days to two weeks. It is like all the autistic symptoms are ten times worse. Die off is awful. It is especially difficult because you feel like you are going backwards. But after die off, you see a kid that is much clearer. The silly and drunken behavior starts to go away. Now they can learn to stop pinching or biting. (Or whatever your child does. Before it was impossible to teach) I tried the pills myself just to see what it was like. You feel like PMS times twenty. During that time we didn't do any thing complicated. They feel sick. Tylenol helps along with doing things they find relaxing. If it is really bad call Dr. G. He may tell you to either increase or decrease the dosage. You can also use some activated charcoal, but be careful when you give it, because it will absorb all medications too. Hope that helps. Guest guest
Sorry to barging in on your conversation. I just have one question: does everybody have a die off reaction? We started my daughter on Valtrex 7 days ago and so far we have not seen any die off reaction. Instead I have seen a shorter tantrums and a little bit calmer child. Are we just lucky or what I see is just a wishful thinking on my part? Maybe it is too early to tell? Die Off Sue, The die of usually occurs after days to two weeks. Guest guest
Hi there, our son has been on Vatrex for about 8 weeks. We didn't see a die off either. We did get some words however (the first in over a year) for about 2 weeks and had a brighter child. Then he started on Nizoral, which he has been on for about 3 weeks, unfortunately he got the flu the same time as he started the Nizoral, it looked like he was having a die off, but the rest of the family was fevered and thowing up too!! it lasted almost 2 weeks, so we weren't sure what too think. He seemed to lose all his gains, but now over the past 4 days he is definately coming back again. What a rollercoaster ride! Good Luck, Die Off > > > Sue, > The die of usually occurs after days to two weeks. It is like all the autistic symptoms are ten times worse. Die off is awful. Guest guest
Personally, I've had success with liver cleanses and organic coffee enemas. They may not be as apetizing as swallowing supplements, but -- for me -- they work like a charm. Get miserable and desperate enough, and you may reconsider. Guest guest
I think that it is pretty much common knowledge that the body stores toxins, especially in fat cells which alot of people have these days. When starting any lifestyle and diet change which may include raw food, supplements etc, most people will experience a cleanse. OF course the body tries to eliminate these toxins that is its job, it does however have a very hard time doing its job when we are stressed, eating poor diets, continually taking drugs and living on a polluted planet. My comment was purely stating that since she is undergoing a lifestyle transformation, her ill feelings due to cleansing would be expected because now she is mobilizing the drugs that have been stored in her body for years. Apparently in her case her body has not been able to eliminate all of the drugs that were stored over 2 years ago. If you feel the body has the ability to get rid of the drugs without help, then why did you offer products for the problem? -- Re: Re: Die off Faith, I have to disagree with K's contention that drugs may be in your system forever if you don't actively cleanse them. The body is flushing and breaking down drugs like it does any other toxin in a natural ongoing process. The necessity however of supporting the function of the kidneys and liver can not be understated; normally it is the phase II part of liver function that is impaired, and it can be supported with cold-processed whey and selenium, a glutathione producer. The liver and the kidneys are the two largest users of glutathione, the master antioxidant and detoxifier.
