Guest guest
Another mom and I are working on a more formal presentation - maybe a screening of Dr G's video. The problem is finding a large enough screen ) Hi Doris, Stores that sell the large-screen t.v.'s and other video equipment will often also rent them out...you might ask around. A freind of mine rented one for a Super Bowl party a couple of years ago. Just a thought. Too bad I'm in CA or I'd be happy to help! Good luck. Guest guest
- valtrex has been the antiviral that works best with our 6 yr old son. - We've been doing ABA for 3.5 yrs thru NJIEI/LIFE. We'll be stopping it in August. Dr Goldberg isn't oppose to ABA but he's not in love with it either ) Dr Goldberg is familiar with the more 'negative' side of ABA and doesn't want this be used with our kids. We also started seeing a Sensory Therapist a few months back for sensory related issues. While Dr G isn't oppose to these therapies, he feels the problems with go away on their own as the brain heals. an idea: I always include my state at the bottom of each email. We don't have alot of families here in MD and I always like to make contact (and keep in contact) with the families in this area. It's my goal to convince local medical establishments/providers of the importance of in treating autism, MS, ADHD, GBS etal ... The more families I have banging ontheir doors, the better. We're hoping to have a get together here in the area soon - probably a picnic like we did last year. ) Another mom and I are working on a more formal presentation - maybe a screening of Dr G's video. Guest guest
Doris~ I'm brand new to this list and the whole thing. I'm definitely interested in networking with other parents and, though I'm not in land, I'm in Delaware, which makes us practically neighbors. Did you receive any support from local doctors, or did you have to do everything through Dr. Goldberg in California? ~ Clayton, Delaware
Guest guest
Do you find it hard to clean the container with the flax and chia? This has turned into a basic recipe for me that I can adapt with any other fruits or vegetables I have on hand. Sometimes I add in spinach or frozen grapes, just depends on what is on hand. > > > > (who is now celebrating her 1 year anniversary as a Vitamix owner! > > > > >
Guest guest
Sometimes a few flax seeds cling to the sides, but I have learned to push them down with the spatula and run it again for a short time and they go away. If they don't, then I just flick them off with my finger as I add water and soap to let it clean itself by running. Chia seed I don't seem to see clinging as much. I have learned to be careful not to pour it down the sides of the container, but into the middle, on top of any liquids. And put fruit and or veggies, at least some of them, on top of the seeds. Otherwise I cope with it ok. Velda On 11/1/2011 6:10 PM, flnancy1958 wrote: > Do you find it hard to clean the container with the flax and chia? Guest guest
I'm going to try that and see how it works for me. Thanks Velda On 11/1/2011 6:17 PM, Niki Glover wrote: When I make smoothies with flax and chia seeds, I put my water in first and put the machine on Variable 1, then drop the chia and flax seeds into the vortex and keep it at 1 while I add the other ingredients. Then I put the lid on and ramp it up to 10 then flip it to High. Some seeds will still get stuck but it definitely prevents the majority of them from sticking. Hope that helps!
