Guest guest
Yes, I switched from Gleevec to Sprycel, and it was like coming out of a coma. Side effects -- I'm more queasy, also still tend to get pretty sleepy, though nowhere near as bad as with Gleevec. My labs also look a lot better. It was a very beneficial change! Guest guest
The worst part of Gleevec for me has been the weght gain. Was that any better to worse or the same with Sprycel. Guest guest
Hi name is Skip was dx;ed around 32 years ago, have been on Myleran hydroxeura, gleevec, nilotinib and dasinib found that dasinib (sprycel) hit me with a few side effect but the one you should watch out for is plural infusion. I had 8 large bottles over a month half taken with 3 taps. It is a very well documented side effect. watch your breathing. Guest guest
The weight gain has been almost as bad on Sprycel for me. However, almost 4 years after switching from Gleevec I am still PCRU with no other noticeable side effects. L [ ] Switching to Sprycel. My Oncologist is switching me from Gleevec to Sprycel. Guest guest
I did. I feel better and my pcr was " undetectable " for the first time since1999 diagnosis. I was able to get off daily acid reflux meds, no longer have leg cramps, don't get the " sickies " for about a hour after taking sprycel like I did on gleevec. Don't get me wrong-gleevec saved my life. Sprycel is picking up where gleevec left off and doing a nice job of it. Guest guest
Efrem, I switched from Gleevec to Sprycel and have done very well with it..Less side effects than when I was on Gleevec. Not as much bone pain, nausea, diarhea, eye swelling, rash etc..I have had a major weight gain though.I gained 30 pounds during the first 2-3 months.made no difference what I did diet wise or exercise wise..Worth the trade as I no longer feel like death set in.I hope you do just as well. Take care SharonS > > My Oncologist is switching me from Gleevec to Sprycel. Has anyone had to do that yet? Any differences? Any side effects?
