Guest guest
Hi Jill, I am new here myself. I am in Colorado so I can't help you with local support but I have found answers to some of my questions here already. And support too. You aren't alone. I'm 28 with RA for the past 15 years. I've never met anyone like me and am frustrated with the lack of support for people my age. Is there ANYONE else with the same problem? It makes it really hard sometimes with no one who understands. So thanks for having this forum! I attempted and failed to start a support group in my area (central Alabama). Any ideas or people in this area? The computer is great but actual groups would be better, I think. Guest guest
Hi Jill, I'm 39 and have had this disease for 25 years so I know how you feel. Good luck! Unfortunately I recently moved from Central Alabama (Montgomery) back to New Jersey... hang in there, you aren't alone even if you feel that way now! Guest guest
There's a very active message board at http://www.arthritisinsight.com/phpBB2/viewforum.php?f=13 that includes quite a few people in their 20s. (I'm 76 so I don't qualify.) God bless. > > From: " Jill " <jillkj1@...> > Date: 2004/05/19 Wed PM 09:38:08 GMT > Rheumatoid Arthritis > Subject: new, needing support > > Hi, just found this group and thought I'd give it a try. Guest guest
Jill, We are glad to hear from you. I have found help with this group - much more than any other. I have had RA for 7 years and now doing antibiotic therapy. You will find friends and support here. Guest guest
Hi Jill, Welcome to the group. I too, am 28, and you're right, not tons of support out there. But there is in this group! I also would be more than happy to visit one-on-one... my personal email is above... > Jill, > We are glad to hear from you. I have found help with this group - much > more than any other.
