Guest guest
Ooh, an invitation! I can't pass it up. , you can find out everything you might like to know about " Little People, " and then some, at: <http://www.dankennedy.net/littlepeople.html> It includes a link to buy it from Amazon.com, save 30 percent, with 15 percent of the purchase price going to LPA. The book is also in most bookstores, as best as I can tell. Thank you all for your indulgence, Dan On 10/20/03 2:12 PM, " KCal0329@... Guest guest
Good we can have a section that is called something like-BP secrets that worked for me. These are known as n of 1 trials but classically done with more rigor that just trying something once and it works. We can have a brief descripition of how to do a proper n of one trial with your health care team or by yourself. I have outlined it in some detail in previous posts sometime ago. Maybe some one can resurect them.

Guest guest
- That's great to see!! There is a psychologist here in San diego at Alliant (formerly CSPP- California School of Proffessional Psychology) who did a lot of research with illnesses and in particular Arthritis and even Juvenile Arthritis conditions. A friend of mine who went there to become a psychologist was in her class and she has JRA found it very HARD to deal with having a professor that talked so much about Arthritis and psychological functioning. She used it often as an exaample .... FOr my friend, they did this interview type process of several students including her and how she has dealt with having chronic illness. She said after doing it, she decided that she coukldn't handle being talked about in class when she was discussed so she was absent... lol... still, I think psychologists in academia who are involved in editing, publishing and such will be sure to include accurate and helpful info on JA and other diseases they are involved in. One of my mentors now is a psychologist who served on the American College of Rheumatology board before and does a lot of research particularly with Scleroderma. We work together on some Juvenile Sclerderma issues/articles and her graduate psych students so chronic illness reseearch in relation to mental illness. So I bet with this book, whomever was involved in it's induction, editing, etc was someone educated/concerned about these things. I LOVE it because most books I have seen give vauge and often inaccurate info about JA. If its mentioned at all! Ussualy the only thing that gets attention in these books is Cancer, AIDS/HIV, Diabetes and Heart Disease. If they mention Arthritis they rarely mention that it affects kids and the ones that have ussualy state they grow out of it and make it sound like it's easy to deal with.... HA! Okay so my huge reply to your comment but Im so glad you shared it. I wish I had the book.... LOL. Guest guest
Yeah it was definitely pretty cool. I debated telling my teacher about my experience with JRA and then decided against it. It was cool though made studying that chapter more exciting. With Love. (JAS, 23)Issadora <FlyfreeIzzie@...> wrote: - That's great to see!! Guest guest
, It was absolutely amazing the weather was perfect, it was such a good time seeing all my family and my grandfather was totally surprised at his party that we were all there. (How's that for a run on sentence!) It was great though and a nice break from life. And it's nice to return knowing in a little over a month I will be graduating from college! All in all it was a very fun time and I really enjoyed myself and I think everyone in my family did too. It was nice just to have some quality time together. Thanks for remembering and asking With Love (23, JAS) and Schulz <snooksmama@...> wrote: How was Florida and your grandpa's vacation?? and Rob 18 JAS The book > The name of the book Behavior disorders of children sixth > edition.
