Guest guest
I'll pray with you ... but in my book it is an easy choice, go for the second opinion! Since you have some time, look around for one of the better CML doctors within your range. If you want suggestions, ask the group... you know how shy they are to make suggestions! ;o) Troxel On Wed, Jan 20, 2010 at 3:54 PM, A <suzzienovember@...> wrote: > > > Hi: I was so frustrated with that visit with the new doctor, and I wrote to > Dr. Druker. Guest guest
Hi : I am going for that second opinion. I found out that this doctor that I saw went to Swami College in India, then onto a 3 star hospital in Brooklyn. He only has 5 years experience, and I feel like I was just given to him with no choice of my own. I did go and give it a try, but I think my instincts were right on track. I will be seeing another Oncologist who has come highly recommended to me. I really appreciate all the feedback from everyone. IT really helped a lot. > > > > > > > Hi: I was so frustrated with that visit with the new doctor, and I wrote to > > Dr. Druker. He agreed with me. I think the first clue was a doctor that wanted to do a FISH test on someone who is already pcru......what sense does that make? It is very possible that you were going to be his first CML patient! One thing to ask a local level oncologist is " how many CML patients have you treated/followed? " and also " how comfortable would he be in taking direction from a cml specialist if that were ever needed " . C.
