Guest guest
Dear flibbertijeddet , not your real name. We are aware from our friends in Britian about the decision of NICE to not give the better drugs to leukemia and breast cancer patients. This is a terrible thing that is happening in other countries as well. There are some companies that assist you in your quest to get free drugs or at least a small co-pay. You would have to google the drug company and ask if they have patient assistance. It is like a slap in the face to tell you that you are not worth it. We were taught early on in life that all life was valuable and served a purpose. We are in solidarity with you and if you know of a way that the US patients could assist you, then we would certainly take it into consideration, but our voices will hardly be heard from afar. Perhaps a letter writing campaign from US patients might have some influence, but it is my understanding they would only look at letters that come in the post and not emails, they are only deleted. How do you think our British friends would want us to respond to this dilema in a way that would be most effective?
