Has anyone heard from Marcos? We have not heard from him in a long time.

Marcos if you are out there, let us know how you are doing. Some else asked

about you, which prompted me to ask if you are out there somewhere??????????????

Hey all,

I am doing very good. Sorry for the lapse in communications, life has been

pretty full these last 3 months and a very charming woman is keeping me very

distracted. I still read the posts every few days and I ll try to say hi

more often. I wish you all an excellent 2010 and hope this year will the one

of the cure.

Cheers,

Marcos.

Hi Bobby, Matt and all CMLers,

I am no Don but it s good to resume a normal life in that compartment

too :)

On the CML front it is still the blue sky with PCRs alternating between PCRU

and positive but too low for quantification. It would be nice to get a

stable PCRU and hope to get one day rid of the gleevec, but I can't

complain. I still rock climb quite a bit at least indoors, though I am not

diving much lately, time being a scarcer commodity now. But my sweet lady is

into martial arts so I may get back to that to optimize sport and romantic

life :).

For the cmlers that joined recently I was dxed in March 2005 with a rather

poor prognostic (high risk sokal, 250K wbc, huge spleen), and almost 5 years

later I am doing very good still on 400mg/ day of gleevec, with pretty much

no chance of ever relapsing and now no side effects from the drug. I

remember how hard were the first months after dx and I hope this post will

cheer up a bit some of the newly dxed.

Marcos.
