Guest guest
Hi, I'm a new member and live in New Zealand. I was diagnosed with RA two years ago and at the moment my arthritis is reasonably well controlled on methotrexate, plaquenil, vioxx, folic acid and prednisone, when I have a flare. I teach piano and flute and hope that I will be able to continue this if my arthritis remains controlled.
Guest guest
Welcome ,....I am sorry why your here, but glad you found the group. I was diagnosed with RA in 2002, but have had it much longer. I am on Humira, Darvocet, and Prednisone. I am still not doing very well. I have tried a number of meds, no relief found yet. I am glad to hear that your doing good on the meds, and still doing what you like to do. That is uplifting to hear that your RA is in control. Take care, Tawny > Hi, I'm a new member and live in New Zealand. Guest guest
welcome, ! glad you found us. my cousin was in NZ during WW2 and has many fond memories of the folks there. sounds like you have the RA pretty well under control. i admire tose of you who just keep going and ar not allowing the RA to totally govern them. i am wondering how your stomach and the Meth get along? so many have noted that it upsets their stomach. i only take the pred, plaquail and naproxin as far as Rx goes. love.. granny lee ----- Original Message ----- From: southerncross032003 Hi, I'm a new member and live in New Zealand. Guest guest
Hi and welcome to the board. You must be reasonably well controlled if you can still play the piano and flute. On another board I follow there is a person from New Zealand who posts as Paradise, a number of people from Australia, and a couple of American piano players. You may want to visit that board also. http://www.arthritisinsight.com/cgi-bin/wsmbb/wsmbb.cgi?SB+KYWRJLLXVS/AKFCLKZQUN+config Good luck and God bless. ----- Original Message ----- From: southerncross032003 Rheumatoid Arthritis Sent: Friday, February 13, 2004 1:38 PM Subject: Hi, I'm a new member Hi, I'm a new member and live in New Zealand. Guest guest
Hi , I'm Jay and I've had RA since last April. I'm taking Methotrexate, Enbrel, Plaquinil, and Prednisone. I'm weening off the Prednisone and down to the lostest dosage since last July, but the lower I go the more symptomatic I become. Nothing like when I first got the desease but much more severe than when I take 30 mg of Prednisone daily. Oh well, such is life. Welcome to the group.
