Guest guest
I just got my 3 month results back from being on the Ariad study. Just some background. Diagnosed in Dec 08, Gleevec and Sprycel didn't give me any cytogenetic response, and minimal PCR. After 3 months on Sprycel, we ran the mutation test and found that I had T315 mutation. As luck had it, I had read Beth's comment about the trial, and we took a leap of faith and managed to get enrolled at OHSU. I am on 60 mg still with minimal side effects, although current dosage is 45 for newly enrollee's. Here are my numbers after 3 months: Metaphase Cytogenetic: Start of Trial: 17/20 Current: 0/20 Fish: Start of Trial: 112/200 Current: 0/200 qPCR: Start of Trial: 50% (is) Current: 0.4% (is) That is a 2 log reduction in 3 months. So I am officially in Complete Cytogenetic Response. Zavie - Does that mean I qualify to get a number ? Hans PS. As my 3 year old would say, 'today was a good day'.....
