For those using this product, I would contact either your provider or distributor or the IDF and see how this might affect you. He does so well on it that I would hate to change it. Guest guest Posted January 21, 2008 Report Share Posted January 21, 2008 I'm not sure the exact reason of the shortage - I had seen another post on another PID board about a particular hospital running out of Gamunex and I contacted the IDF to inquire about what was going on. She stated that there really is a true shortage of it and she would get more detailed info on it. If I hear anything else I will pass it on. I would say it couldn't hurt to inquire with your infusion company or call the manufacturers of Gamunex directly and ask as well!
