Guest guest
If there are any newbies out there that are hoping to one day be mommies.  There is hope. Zammett just delivered her 2nd child after being DX with CML. She went off Gleevec for the whole pregnancy and even breastfeed (her first child) for the first 4 months.  If you interested her is her post http://forums.parenting.com/blogs/project-pregnancy/posts/birth-story#more  I was DX in 2003, at the age of 22, even though I have been on Gleevec for 6 years and it is working, I still want to be a parent, just don’t know if I have the courage to go off my meds that saved my life, and the meds that are letting me continue to live it.  Thanks Zavie, for giving me ’s information years ago, I was able to keep up with all her posts she wrote for Glamour, and I was able to keep up with both of her pregnancies, and her book was awesome. Thanks Zavie for all the great information that you give to this group.  Good Luck to you are your beautiful family J __________________________________________________
Guest guest
Hi ; I also was diagnosed youngish - 32. We adopted and are thinking of doing it again. I admire so much, she is incredibly brave. I know I don't have the courage to go off treatment, even for a while. I am just too afraid that if I relapsed nothing would work! Everyone has to do what is right for them though.
