Guest guest
Dear Cheryl, You are a very strong person if you are on 800 mg. Gleevec. Remember the saying, " This too shall pass " every time y ou feel that you can't bear any more. In time they may be able to decrease your dose, but your doctor believes that it is best to try to get you to CCR ASAP. If you do not have a CML specialist, then you should get one who knows more about CML than an oncologist who cares for patients with over 100 different kinds of cancer. Keep reading the posts and you will find by reading other patient's experiences that yours are very similiar to theirs. You may also find that there are things you can do for your side effects that worked for them. This group is at the ready to assist you. I consider them to be like EMT's, they will rush to your defense in a heartbeat. Your side effects may only be temporary. Wishing you all the best as you work towards getting your Zavie Zero Number. Like Motel 6, we leave the light on for you. Hands & hearts, Lottie Duthu
