Subject: [ ] Standard Sprycel dose?

I was wondering if anyone knows what the standard dose for Sprycel is? My

doctor started me on 70 mg and recently switched me to 100 mg. Has anyone else

been on only 70 mg?

Now that this drug is FDA approved, the standard starting dose is 100mg once a

day. Some people are on more or less than this amount, depending on how

effective the drug is for them and what side effects they are having.......so it

is variable.

I was on 100mg once a day.......actually just dropped to 80mg once a day because

of having pleural effusions at 100mg (that did not occur for me in the past when

I was on 80mg once a day). Now we need to see if this is an effective dose,

based on pcr test results over time.

Hope this helps.

C.
