Guest guest
Dear Sharon , Having to use your last name, as we have several Sharons here. I'm happy to see several subscribers who have not heretofore posted, ask questions and give us a bit of their history. You wanted to know if anyone else had problems with their platelets. Yes, there are many of us who have varied inconsistencies in our CBCs and PCR's. Unfortunately, it's the nature of the beast. Different drugs give us different side effects and different readings. I am on SKI 606 and my platelets are extremely low, as well as my WBC, Hgb, and Hct. I was diagnosed over 14 years ago and just reached CCR. We don't give up, and we don't sweat the small things. If you are feeling well and your BMAs show you are stable, I wouldn't spend too much time worrying about it. I hope you have access to a CML specialist who can assure you that you are normal. What is the level of your disease at this time, is it CCR, MMR or PCRU? Personally my platelets hover around the 50,000 mark and often below. It causes me to have blotches on my arms, but if I can persevere this long, then I am not worrying about it. I hope you get the answers you are looking for and I know you will get many responses to your question. Best wishes and I hope you will continue to give us your input, it's how we rub each other's backs. LOL Hands & hearts, Lottie Duthu
