Guest guest
Dear Aussie Sue, I darn near fell off my chair laughing when you said you couldn't re-train another man to replace your husband. Keep him on a leash. It's true, we are all creatures of habit and now that he knows I can't do what I used to do, he does much much than his share. We do have a son who comes over and washes the car, mops the floors and does the yard work, so that helps. Jimmy's had heart surgery and MRSA in his lung, but he is still ticking. He also has COPD, so sometimes I think I am better off than he is, but he has more mobility. I think he is happy to look across the table and still see me there. I do count my blessings every day and say a prayer for all the scientists who developed the 2nd & 3rd line drugs. Suppose we had to stick with Inteferon? That is what they are going to do in the UK. They are refusing to give new patients Gleevec or Sprycel, they will all get Inteferon because it is cheaper. This comes from someone who was on Gleevec in the UK. Coming soon to the USA. FYI, Lottie Duthu
