Couldn't be better advice. It is the rare kid that can run around once the

temp goeds 103 and up but bed/couch rest with that hydration is critical. 95

year old people in Hospice do not develop high temperatures............that is

restricted to vital bodies trying to get well. It isn't sickness, it's

wellness. Do not worry about feeding/eating because you would simply add to the

problem stuffing food into a body that cannot digest leaving more toxins to

eliminate. Don't fuss over the food issue as people have lived, on average, 30

days or more on water fasts. Not suggesting this just illustrating that we've

been taught incorrectly most of our lives. A few ears ago when trying to

educate my daughter-in-law on how to treat a fever, I sent them an article I

found from one of the major teaching hospitals that admitted that 30% of

practicing physicians did not know what fevers were a beneficial effort by the

body. That stunned me because I had already known that for more than 50 years.

I would not worry about 105F if the patient is hydrated, electrolytes

are replenished, there is no evidence of delirium, and you trust the

calibration of your thermometer.

I cannot respond to a 'generated' fever but it is still a form of defense. The

Coley's doesn't 'cause' the fever, the body uses fever to save itself from what

is being done to it. Coley's can't generate a fever on a cadaver but a live

body can respond to the toxins with a fever. That's probably why it works. It

is the body's own Hyperthermia. It's a form of Immunotherapy perhaps. It's

like the BCG they instill into the bladder to 'irritate' the bladder wall

causing, they think, an immune response. I think most 'warnings' are simply

caveats to protect their butts. I don't know enough about Coley's to discuss

it but have worked enough fevers to be able to discuss what I have done and

would do when one rises..........no pun intended.

How high is the safest we can let the fever go? I am trying to get Coley's

Toxins here in Canada and the main objective is to fever. They say to stop the

fever if it gets too high. I think high is 104 degrees? But you guys mentioned

even 105? I am not going to be monitored by a Dr. so really need to know the

safe limits. I would not trust a Dr. anyways as they'll bring the fever down

too quickly.
