Guest guest
Dear ! I'm very happy to know your wonderful story) You are very brave woman! I wish you and your daughter strong health and all the best in the world) I had a chance to feed my girl for 9 months untill I've known about my diagnosis. Ans I still hope to have more children. What is IUD? (I'm sorry, my English is not very good and sometimes I don't understand some abbreviation or medical terms.) Eva > > I was on the birth control pill for about 2 years while on Gleevec. I was also advised that it was not a good combo. I ended up discontinuing the pill because of the horrible headaches I would get on it. My husband and I started using condoms and ended up pregnant a few months later. SO, I would suggest looking into some sort of IUD or other more foolproof device were I you. > That being said, I have a beautiful and 100% healthy, 3 month old baby girl (Isabella) who is my little miracle. I was on 400mg/day gleevec for the first 10 weeks, taken off Gleevec completely at that time and then back on because of rising counts at 24 weeks. After delivery I stopped the gleevec for 10 days so that I could nurse part time and when my daughter was 1.5 months I was upped to 600mg to jump-start my response and help me get back to 0. > :} > > >
