Guest guest
Hi , I do eat fruits. I often cut up fruit in my salads. Right now papayas are in here so I've been having papaya almost everyday. I also eat pears, oranges, clementines and grapes. I don't eat a LOT of fruit because its so sugary but I do eat some fruit everyday in my salad. Good luck! Virginia [ ] Successful Diet on Sprycel! Hello Fellow Frustrated Dieters, I have been very vocal about how frustrating it is not to be able to lose weight while taking Sprycel after the drug first caused a precipitous weight gain. Well, it's a little slow but I've finally found some success and want to pass it along to you. I have lost 5 pounds in 5 weeks on this diet. It may not be exactly right for you but I do want to pass it along in some detail in case it works for someone else. First of all, I read every lable for caloric count before buying anything. You may be very surprised at how many hidden calories there are. My basic diet is about a cup of Kefir (liquid yogurt) for breakfast. Or a small carton of Yoplait fat-free yogurt. Either way, it's under 200 calories. This diet depends a great deal on having light soups available. I buy both 's and Progresso. Many are 200 calories or less per can. I don't know what is available in other parts of the world but this is what I've found in the U.S. that works for me. I eat a whole can (one bowl full) of soup for lunch or dinner. The other meal (either lunch or dinner) is a generous salad. I vary my ingredients but always include some protein -- chicken or turkey and no red meat. Currently, because of what's available at the market, I am using grilled various forms of chicken breast (sausage, grilled, marinated and baked) with virtually no fat. I also use turkey bacon to add a little crunch and salty flavor. Then I use various kinds of lettuces and greens, fruit or tomato (papaya is in here now), green or red bell pepper; shredded carrots and, most important of all -- a LITTLE salad dressing. Beware of bottled dressings. If you read how many calroies are in each 2 TBSP you'll be astonished. I usually use just a flavored vinegar or lemon juice. If I use a bottled dressing I buy the light kind and only use 2-3 Tbsp. Snacks: Fat-free microwave popcorn or rice crisps. Sweets: Special K breakfast foods and FiberOne breakfast foods both make a 90-calorie chocolate drizzled cereal bar that is really good! Also, Trader Joe's has a 100-calorie chocolate bar that's small buy very satisfying. I eat one of these every other day or so to satisfy cravings. Please notice that's there's no cheese, no red meat, virtually no fat on this diet but it's healthy and I find it very good. It adds up to 1,000 or less calories a day. Good luck! Guest guest
Thank you Suzan. You are right I try now to limit my fruit intake to 1 to 3 daily for calories intake. I start your diet by cutting back on calories and keep it in 1000 range. It should work. Keep it up Sent from my Verizon Wireless BlackBerry Re: [ ] Successful Diet on Sprycel!- Hi , I do eat fruits. Guest guest
I find that this is an easy diet to stick to because I don't get hungry and the only thing that's really totally missing is fat. You get some carbohydrates in the soup, the fruit and also the popcorn snacks. I don't snack everyday, btw. Best luck, . [ ] Successful Diet on Sprycel!
