Shirts, Hats , and Gleevec

Hi Everyone.

My daughter, Robyn, achieved total remission in October after starting on

Gleevec in March. Zavie, what number does she have for your 0 club so she can

get a hat or shirt?

I have a friend who is a scientist for Novartis. She claims that Gleevec is not

a chemotherapy drug. What is the group's feedback?

I think it is—of all the medications out there I think Gleevec is the

strongest and more like chemo. I say that because I had a terrible reaction

to it and lost ½ my hair and all eyebrows, eyelashes and all hair

everywhere!!! Sprycell and especially Tasigna—has been kinder to me. Much

much kinder—but everyone reacts differently.
