Guest guest
Cheryl, Jumping in here too. You are in my thoughts and it is great that the initial search found so many potential donors. Best of luck over the next days, weeks, months... Guest guest
Hi Cheryl, I'm a member of that same BMT support group. I participate once in awhile because it's always an option I may need to take and I like to know so much about it. It's a compassionate group. You will gain lots of strength and friendships from them. You are on the right path with a whole army beside you. God's Blessings, Jackie S. ________________________________ From: thornton_cheryl <thornton_cheryl@...> Sent: Sat, February 20, 2010 2:48:31 PM Subject: [ ] for Jackie... Jackie.. No definite date yet but the search is on - the preliminary search found 82 possible 6/6 matches - but I have been told that many of these won't pan out...the Gleevec is still working they tell me, but they don't know for how long...I am having an ablation this week so that I can finally get off the birth control pills and not bleed out during my periods (I needed 10 units in January for that) - I am feeling good, tired some days but I think that's from the high dose of Gleevec and not the disease...I' m eating healthier and exercising to get in shape for the transplant.. .it is a very scary process - I have found a great bmt support site and have been spending sometime on there...although I do lurk here everyday and chirp in when I feel I have something to offer in the way of advise...I am trying to stay in the moment and have received such great support here and on the transplant site...I am so grateful for having somewhere I can go and post and cry if I need to... Thanks so much for reaching out...it means the world to me Cheryl > > From: thornton_cheryl <thornton_cheryl@ .ca> > Subject: [ ] Lottie...I love your attitude > groups (DOT) com > Date: Friday, February 19, 2010, 11:16 AM > > > > Lottie, > > Just wanted to say how nice it is to read your posts...they are always upbeat and positive and you just have a way of relating to people that makes me smile...I haven't posted much lately because my situation is so different from anyone else's here in the fact that I have no choice but to head to bmt...but I read the posts daily and I am always struck at what a positive person you are...I hope to one day be as positive about my situation in life as you are...I would love to be able to put a smile on people's faces and give advice like you do...and although we have not met, I feel you are a wise and wonderful person... > > Keep making me smile, > > Cheryl > >
