Hi Barbara,

I can't help with the side effects from Tasigna, I'm in the Ariad trial, but I

can relate to the scalp issues!!! I had the same feeling/pain when starting HHT

and the Ariad trial. It was really weird and painful. I bought some special

shampoo called Tgel that worked really well. If you still have the pain, try

that and see if it helps. I think it numbs the scalp in some way.

Hope this helps.

God's Blessings,

Jackie S.

Subject: [ ] Just finished 1st week of Tasigna

Need some feedback. Started Tasigna Sat and all fine until Monday. Don't know

if it was medicine or a bug, but it was like somone drained all the energy

physical and mental and I spent Monday-Friday hardly able to get out of the bed

and had no appetite. Saturday morning woke up feeling great, but my scalp feels

as if it's burned and I can hardly stand to put my fingers through my hair. The

pain seems to be where the scalp meet the root of the hair shaft. You know when

you have a chill and your body turns into a chill bump - well when it hit the

scalp I had to " yep " a little - only lasted a second, but??? It's a real treat

to try and wash hair - have to just let water run over it and not scrub as

usual.

Still get a twitch of a headache in my right cheek when I lie down. PA at

Houston gone Friday so didn't get any feeback from her.

My counts were doing great on Gleevec but I was sleeping my life away and Dr.

says shouldn't have that problem with Tasigna.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks
