Guest guest
OK guys, is sick! I was so happy because he was doing so good. He was well until about 8:00 last night when looked at me and said his throat hurt. He went down hill from there. He is lethargic and his throat is killing him. I called the pedi and got the answering service. This young guy answered the phone and asked me if it was an emergency. I started to explain what was going on. He immediately cut me off and told me that if I didn't need the emergency room, I needed to wait until tomorrow. Ya'll, I don't know what came over me, but I popped off. " Well, it's not like his finger has fallen off and is laying on the ground and I'm waiting to go anywhere until I hear from Dr Simon or anything BUT... I DO have a child that was born without part of his immune system and he either has the flu or strep. Things tend to go down hill pretty fast with him. Is that considered an " emergency " or a " wait until tomorrow " situation? I'll let you make that call! " All of this said really quickly, in one breath, and in a sweet Southern, " bless your heart " kind of voice. The poor guy was rolling he was laughing so hard. Needless to say, we got in to see Dr S. at 6:15! Flu test is positive, strep negative. erggg!
