Guest guest
We used to keep a hospital bag packed at all times but some where along the way we stopped. dd (8) starts public school next week and I know were in for some hospital trips, especially for the baby since she has to be admitted for any illness that causes her to stop eating for 3 hours (blood sugar crashes by 4 hours when healthy and under no stress, have about an hour when under stress). I want to get a bag ready with 1 weeks worth of supplies since we have to stay until she's well enough to eat on a regular basis again. I know the obvious stuff, toothbrush, toothpaste, glasses, ect but what exactly is in yours? We would end up being transferred to the children's hospital 3 hours away so its not like I will be able to just run home or have someone bring me something. Also, anyone have any suggestions for GFCF/nut free snacks I can keep packed in the bag too? Any thoughts on sandwitches I might be able to premake and freeze? I can leave condiments off but I was wondering if I can like freeze a ham sandwich with just the ham and bread then get the fixins from the cafeteria. Special diets in hospitals are not fun! 8 CVID Lilly 26 mo
