She is still doing the eye drops of course. they are a little concerned still about her nerves since she has had some really high pressures at different times and now it seems to stay in the teens. They want to keep her in the low teens and are doing another test next visit, 6wks, but I am keeping my fingers, toes, arms, legs crossed that it is good as well. Guest guest
Good to hear, . I hope that the appointment is soon. Please let us know as soon as you get your letter. Â All the best from Ann xx From: Hulmes <christine.hulmes@...> Subject: Good news for achalasia Date: Monday, 27 April, 2009, 9:10 AM Hi everyone Got onto the phone first thing this morning and I have had some very good news about my referral. The waiting lists for treatment in the Salford Royal is really too long for my situation so my GI doc and the General Surgeon has faxed an urgent referral to see a Mr Mar Hartley an Upper GI Surgeon who works from the Royal Infirmary in Liverpool UK. Since the letter was only faxed last Thursday the appointment to see him has not come through yet but I wait patiently. It seems that there was crossed wires between my GI doc and the General Surgeon in my local general hospital who have been looking after me. So far so good and I wait in anticipation for the appointment as it will be in Liverpool which is nearer to my home than Mancester. I will keep youall informed. from the UK
Guest guest
Hi Ann I checked the website for the hospital that I am going to and the waiting times for the surgeon that I am going to see is on average 33 days from referral. I shall let you know more when I get the appointment letter. Many thanks to everyone for your continuing support as I don't know what I would have done without your support and advice. from the UK ________________________________ From: Ann Higgs <lilac_blossom_lady@...> achalasia Sent: Monday, April 27, 2009 10:47:01 AM Subject: Re: Good news for Good to hear, . Thank you for sharing it with us. To celebrate, might want to send us a note and tell us something about his personal journey. I know you are walking on cloud nine and staying out of that " rocking chair " - just a little private joke between Annie and me. Every good report card is posted in the book of life, so let it be known to everyone about 's progress. Hands & hearts, Lottie
