Guest guest
Dear Barb, Many patients have strange side effects, but they normally go away. When I started the Sprycel trial, I was on 140 mg. My head hurt so much, I wrapped it in a heating pad, didn't know what else to do. I had chills, fever and weakness. I could get up from my bed and walk to the bathroom or to the table. I became so ill, I had to call security at MDACC and they came and picked me up and brought me to the hospital. I don't think they give anyone more than 100 mg. today, that was a powerful punch. They gradually lowered my dose until I was only on 20 mg. a day. I think one of the most powerful side effects I ever experienced was the headaches. I am not a headache person, never was. Didn't have one until I was in my 30's. I am not on Tasigna, but I think you side effects will probably go away in due time. Everyone I know of who has been switched is pleased. Keep us posted.
