I don't know if it is the IVIG or what, due 's immune doctor said

that he expects children with immune defect to have inaccurate rast

testing as well.

DD has tested negative on the RAST test for her food allergies while on SCIG.

However, we know that when she has any amount of dairy she reacts. Her doctor

just thinks its because she doesn't have any dairy in her system. She's been

milk free for years. I'd love to find out if there is a correlation between the

tests and IVIG.

My son just had RAST testing done. It came back with 1-2 on most of them but I

question the results since he had 4+ on skin testing when he was an infant. So

what do you trust? Or are there any accurate tests?

Same for Lucas, He was severely effected by milk as an infant and the testing

showed no allergy. ( that is RAST testing. Interesting, we were told that his

EGD looked normal but the biopsies showed inflammation. He has stopped vomiting

and I am just going to do nothing.

our allergiest and even the ENT who also does allergy does not go on RAST or any

other blood results..they use it as a guide sometime to see what skin tests

should be done, but they really only go by skin testing... on our end we also

have used the elimination diet to " test " our theories if we think somehting is

reacting.
