Guest guest
Cheryl Tammy and others Reason of Cause of continual period bleeding as stated by my gyno who is quite knowledgeable of CML and treats a number of other Leukaemia conditions for women issues This are his words Glivec - His view is yes but no proven scientifically CML - a strong maybe Age - a strong maybe Combination of all three - definitely CML Glivec Pamplets Since late 2008 you will notice in the drug pamphlet a side effect of glivec listed is Hormone Imbalance but it does not actually state what hormone imbalance is - does not state period bleeding or period change just hormone imbalance Well my bleed-out and continual large clotting like Cheryl, Tammy and others experience is not just hormonal imbalance - it is a life imbalance Note: Also - different people impacts from glivec are all individual so ladies may have lessor or more of the same. I phoned my friend who I met while she was pregnant and diagnosed with CML - she is also experiencing bleeding (continual and very heavy periods) - now has to sleep with towels underneath her and changes continually thru the night. She has now 4 children and said this new period bleeding is worse than child birth bleeding. She has just been booked into the same gyno as myself (thank goodness) and is discussing her options. Her little girl (last baby- and a miracle CML baby is now 19 months old and the Princess in her house - she has 3 big brothers and can hold her own against the boys). Tammy - good idea to discuss these issues with your family Ladies - if nothing else - it brings forth discussions that one must have (Sue (Aussie) ______________________________________________________________ > > Sue, > Thanks for your story. I have been on Gleevec 400 mg since early October > 2007. My periods have stayed the same time wise - perhaps a couple of days > closer (like 27 or 28 day cycle). But, I HAVE noticed more and larger > clotting in the past 6 months. Thank you for this information. I will relay > it too my husband and in some way family members. > Tammy > > >
