Guest guest
Ah yes, my friend, Sharon, you are right, it's all about the needle. LOL I have never had one, but I need to clear my schedule and find out what is going on. I have no idea of how much fluid they will have to draw and if I will be able to stay on SKI, the drug that finally brought me to CCR. Do I want to give it up? No, I have less side effects, except for bone & joint pain, even on a low dose. I like to think it is because it is those immature cells being killed off faster than we can bury the dead ones. LOL As much as I wanted to stay on Sprycel, they took me off it because of P & PE & pneumonia, and as you had also, the lingering fever. For some patients, it is a problem, but the drug has a good track record, I think, for reaching CCR very quickly. Until it proves otherwise I think it is a good drug for a great number of people, giving them the opportunity to reach CCR and even PCRU. (How is that, Anita?) Anita is one of us who was not supposed to live and after being on Sprycel for a short time, she became PCRU. It doesn't get better than that when you are told to get your papers in order. My blood pressure fluctuates from high to low. I haven't discovered the reason, but I wish it would stay on the low side. Continued success to you on Tasigna. Hands & hearts, Lottie
