Guest guest
Hey Lottie, did I ever twell you I am also a two time cancer survivor? I was 38 and had uterine cancer, had surgery and never looked back. I would have to estimate 90% of my relatives have died of cancer,, or are survivors. I always believed I would die of cancer, especially when I got CML, but I could sure be wrong there. May marks the beginning of my 16th year with it, and it hasn't got the better of me yet!! I mentioned that in a former post, that some were battling secondary cancers. You seem to have bounced back like a punching bag. Kudos to you, you come to us with an interesting past history. I thought you were a newcomer, but you are a seasoned veteran. Contratulations on your survivorship, now we can focus on you as our inspiration. I know that a lot of us have to ponder on where we would all be without the saving grace of Gleevec. I remember how I lusted after it when it was in the initial trials and even those of us who have moved on to other drugs, we can still pay homage to Dr. Druker and the efforts he made to find a cure for CML. We should all celebrate a Dr. Druker Day in his honor. Thank you for sharing that part of you and best wishes. Hands & hearts, Lottie Duthu
