Guest guest
Udo's Choice isn't another kind of EFA, its a brand of oil that has a combination of the big " good " three, omega-3, omega-6 and omega-9s in what are supposed to be the appropriate ratios. Guest guest
Some health food stores carry it, but it is hard to find locally some times. http://florahealth.com/united_states/index.html Maybe you can have your local health food store call Flora and start carrying it. Another alternative is Hemp Oil (Spectrum Naturals, Inc) or Barlean's Organic Oils makes a product called Omega Twin which is Flax Seed Oil and Borage Oil. Either of these would be an okay substitute for Udo's Choice Perfected Blend and may be more readily available at your local health food store. All EFA Oils will be in a refridgerated area. Guest guest
Hi Clyde. I lost hair in the beginning when I started the prednisone and Imuran. But after a while it stopped falling out (don't remember how long it took). Now it is actually much thicker than before I got AIH. Heidi Gardarsson > I started taking imuran in june. Guest guest
our ped tells us to call (for either girl) when the fever is at 100.6 if the symptoms warrant it. Macey went for months hovering between 100 and 101 and it was a body type inflammation. Her body was just so tired out and fatigued from CVID that it was raising her metabolic rate to keep up. IVIG has helped but she still stays around 100.3 (like tonight). I look more for symptoms than anything. Guest guest
My ped said 101. To me, any fever in Autumn is noteworthy, even if it's lowgrade. Guest guest
I do both-- I call across my breasts my bust, and just under breasts my chest. VERY discouraging that " Bust " measurements are going down faster than " Chest " measurements! K

Guest guest
Hi - I measure across my breasts - right at the nipple level. I don't think it really matters where you take your measurement as long as you do it consistently to see the movement! Park Dumb question This is probably a really dumb question, but neighter DH or I know the answer. I don't want to rely completely on the scales to judge my results. So, we deiced to take measurements. The problem is we don't know how to take a chest measurement. Is it above, below or right across the breasts? TIA. This seems like a great list. I was really happy to find it. Male dominated lists seem to have different issues.

LOL Sorry, couldn't resist. After four pregnancies and a combined 5 1/2 years (and still going) of nursing, I have to laugh when I look at them. ;~) Thanks for the replies. Since there doesn't seem to be a standard, I guess I will take the measurement a couple of different ways and feel good about the one that does the best. That reminds me, are any of you nursing? If so, do you take anything other than a multivitamin? How about the shakes? I wouldn't mind substituting a meal for a nice creamy chocolate shake. Its day three for me and I am starting to think nasty things about chickens.

Guest guest
Hi Kendra. Isn't this the best workout? I'm on week 4 and can't believe my energy. You should count the water you use in your shakes as well as water in tea. I'm sorry to hear about your friend's behavior. I feel like comments like that make me want to work even harder though. You know how good you feel and you know how good you're looking. She sounds like she's unfocused and can only concentrate on the bad in other people's lives. Use your angst toward her as incentive to push harder and to consciously not be like her. You're making changes toward something positive while she continues to stew in the negative. Change is good. Keep it up. > Hi everybody..I've got a dumb question! (i'm on Day 11 of challenge > 1--so i'm entitled to a couple, right???) Guest guest
Yes, you count the shake water. As for your friend, I'd stop talking BFL with her. Let your results speak for you. It doesn't sound as if she really is interested in anything but trashing you. Day 11 and she's saying see doesn't see a change...that's just nuts!!! I think you are truly the only one who is going see much of a change in only 11 days. Are we sure she's a friend? I am glad your week is going well despite her attitude! Maybe think of her fat @$$ when you are rally sweating out your cardio!!! dumb question Hi everybody..I've got a dumb question! (i'm on Day 11 of challenge 1--so i'm entitled to a couple, right???) This truly is something i can do for life! My other question is this...how do you deal with negative people in your life? I have one friend who i see at the gym and she's constantly asking me how it's going...that she can't see any changes in me (it's day 11 for goodness sake)she couldn't eat that much, I'm going to the gym too much...blah blah blah! Well, I think I do look different!I can really see my muscles starting to get definition! She's been going to the gym for 4 years and has done nothing but get bigger! It's so frustrating, I try to share body for life with her because i know it could help her but she doesn't want to do anything but put it down!! Anyone got some advice, I'd love any help!! Guest guest
I had a similar experience myself a while back but the pain was in my forearm. Not sharp but dull and persistent. I swear it took months to go away. Of course I kept working through the pain because it affected my front and side lateral raises. Anti inflammatories probably would help and might shorten the time span of the pain. Unless it is a really acute pain I don't really see any point in laying off if you can stand to work through it. I'm no sports doc though and perhaps if I'd laid off a while it wouldn't have taken months for my forearm pain to go away. Stasia
Guest guest
Hi Jane, It is possible to get an infection around the mastoid bone which is located directly behing the lower third of your ear. Another possibility is a lymph gland that gets large and sore in response to an open area on the scalp. Either should be checked. I got an infection from scratching P on my scalp once and had that happen. I developed a fever also and had to get an antibiotic to clear it up. Good luck (WI) > Dumb Question
