Guest guest
Lottie, when I asked Kay, the nurse about versed, she said I would not be getting that and not to worry they would give me locals. I told her I really had an anxiety problem and she said she would have to give it some thought to see if she would RX something for anxiety. I was so uptight after that my blood pressure shot up, she had to pump the cuff so tight I almost passed out from the pain and began to have an anxiety attack. Guess she believed me then, because after she got me calmed down in her office, she ALLOWED me to have some adavan(SP?). That took some of the edge off, but the 2 guys doing the BMB had to stop several times and give me another local. It was NOT a good event nor pain free as at my local oncologist. When Dr. said to come back in 6 months, I asked if I would have another BMB. He told me I would but he would sedate me. I really was expecting to be put on Sprycel and really shocked when he talks about monitoring my heart while on the Tasigna. I don't know if I wouldn't be better to go back to Gleevec and just spend my days sleeping. My PCR was " not detected " and it didn't seem to be as dangerous treatment as Tasigna. Hope Ihear something from the BMB next week. Barbara Hundley
