Hi All

I am writing to see if any of you have dealt with this diagnosis in

the past or present: Tracheoalacia dn Laryngomalacia

My son just completed a bronchoscopy and his 3rd round of swallow and

sleep studies. He is 2 and upon watching the bronch. video myself, I

am very concerned how this could tie in with his problems of re-

occurent infections about every 2 weeks. My pulmonologist is going

to sit down both the ENT and Infectious Disease Drs at the center

(which we are also seeing) to see what is the next step, but any

mom/care giver experience is always more helpful to me.

has no dx of a PID yet.....we are going to re-run another round

of vaccine titers in Nov/Dec to see if he is still decreasing (best

guess of is that he can not maintian them after time). As far as

today's dxs (named above), most kids out grow this by age 2, not just

determine they have a problem, and a pretty big one from the looks of

it (literally). The pulmonologist has done a great job of telling me

what this all means, how to react when he has problems and such, and

it explains alot of his complications with viruses and just being

sick in the last 2 years of his life and why it is always his

respitory system first......but it doesn't explain why he is still

getting sick all the time when I basically keep him home and away

from anyone sick,on preventative meds, etc. I am still worried that

if he does have some real PID issues, what more could I be doing. So

I just wanted to see if anyone else had experience with this.

Thanks so much to all that post everyday. Even though I don't do it

often, it makes me feel better knowing i am not alone.

A.
