Guest guest
My son 7 1/2 has Di Syndrome. All three of the kids have been diagnosed with it through TSH testing. They are 7, 6 and 5. Meghan I have written about before. 's been tested with mild T and B cell defiency. He has had 4 sets of tube's since he was 1. He now is getting over pneumonia. Meghan my middle one who is 6 has CVID is finished for now with IVIG treatment's until we see allergist/pulmonary specialist for some other issues. They are talking of both kids getting a partial adnoidectomy. To see if this helps with both kids and their constant ear infections, etc... Has anyone else had this done? I was wondering what things to expect. They want to do both kids the same day surgery. Has having the adnoids take out helped with anyone elses children when it came to constant ear infections and sinus infections? I had read a article in the past the kids with Di Syndrome/VCFS shouldn't have a full adoidectomy if there is already speech issues. Both kids are in speech therapy. Meghan was also this last year diagnosed with a partial submuccous cleft paltate when we saw a speech pathologist at the U of MN. She has the most health issues associated with the syndrome.
