Guest guest
Lucy, I can tell that my hand is getting worse. I am happy you are doing well and hope things get back to you being able to write, cut meat, and do your hair... I made an appt. with another hand doc in March. Thought I would get another opinion and maybe this doc will talk to me more. I wonder how you know if you have waited too long for surgery or if that is just what they say to encourage folks to do surgery. I don't want to wait too long if there is such a thing. I have seen folks like the lady you spoke of with hands all crumpled up and bent. My son plays baseball and the season has already begun. I don't want to miss any of his games. He is a junior in high school. I also dread the non-use of the hand for so many weeks..... How is your knee? Didn't you tell me you were having trouble with it? I have been off anti-inflammatory for 2 weeks now. My feet were hurting a bit today. I am using natural progesterone cream for menopause and think somehow that has enabled me to get off anti-inflammatory. Not sure how, but think there is some sort of connection between hormones and auto-immune disease. Feel like I need to get some splints for hands. Guest guest
Kath, I went to integrative/alternative doc. He is MD but helps with supplements and diet. He can write prescriptions when necessary but not his first choice... Try www.alternativemedicine.com Kay ----- Original Message ----- From: Kathy A Rheumatoid Arthritis Sent: Tuesday, June 08, 2004 8:33 AM Subject: Kay Thanks for the thoughts. I am very interested in the antibiotic therapy too. What type of doctor did you go to who would work with you on leaky gut syndrome and antibiotics? I live near a big city (Kansas City) so surely I can find someone here? Kath
