Guest guest
Interesting numbers. How long were you on AG before each test? Did you apply AG to the arm that the blood was drawn from? It looks like you E is low, maybe too low for the high total T and free T. There is some who think that the ratio of T/E is more important then the raw numbers. Lowering your T and raising your E would give you a better ratio. Other then that i suggest: Melatonin, DHEA, L-tryptophan or 5-htp, Armour Thyroid, and Deprenyl and HGH. Now Deprenyl and HGH are showing promise of reactivating the HPTA. You might need to have your prolactin levels checked or just try a run of B6 and Vitex. B6 and Vitex are great stuff for ED and mood. Try each one out for a week to see which ones work for you, might have to ramp up dosage 1x, 2x, 4x, for a week to see what works. The B6 and Vitex should run at the same time, but don't overdo any of these for too long. if any of these work for you > I've been taking Androgel 10 gr (two packets for a few months now. Guest guest
Your E2 (Estradiol) looks a bit low to me. You might want to consider skipping your .5 mg Arimidex 1 day per week and see how you feel and how your next labs turn out. Arimidex is long acting, and you would only be skipping 1 day/week, so will take a while (2 - 3 weeks or more???) to tell if it makes any difference. I think one packet testim may drop me to about 800 total T, and with that cutting back on Arimidex. (Though even keeping on Arimidex is likely to be a challenge. My doc gave me a limited prescription under protest.) > >Other then that i suggest: > >Melatonin, DHEA, L-tryptophan or 5-htp, Armour Thyroid, and >Deprenyl and HGH. I'd been having some improvement in natural levels before I started TRT moved from about 120 to 300. (Still pitifully low I know, but diet and curing a parasite brought about that change.) I'm hoping hCG might reactivate the axis and let mother nature take over. Arimidex also seems to boost T by about 300 points. And 600 hundred is about natural level for my age. Guest guest
retrogrouch, Hope you get out of the sluggish mode. For me, I've seen a LOT of improvement since starting pellets 5-6 weeks back, but I'm still sluggish. I've been involuntarily sedentary for so long I think it will take some time to really get where I hope to be. I think long-term improvement for me will involve a broader regime than TRT, including graduated exercise, diet, attitude, patience ( & I want patience RIGHT NOW), etc. I'm grateful for my improvement, but I can & will do better. You're probably right. It's just frustrating because along the line I've had some tremendous bursts of energy and drive. (I've been fairly active even when down with this stuff in the early days.) When I started TRT I felt so good I found myself doing push ups for fun. My body just demanded to work. When I started Arimidex I hit a brief ideal phase where I was riding my bike 100+ miles a week, and swimming and walking 6 mile walks. (Even with the 20 lbs I added from TRT and E2.) It was a blast. But lasted only a few weeks.

Most of us feel like we have CFS and it is low T. so when you go out and do all of this you are going to burn out fast. Guest guest
Hi- I can relate to that! When I get some energy, I want to go crazy making up for lost time. Then I crash, & wish I hadn't overdone things. Having more energy doesn't mean I'm immune to overexertion, but it feels so good, at first. Peace, Bruce > > You're probably right. Guest guest
The answer is obvious, you are taking too much arimidex. It has driven your estradiol too low. Stop taking the arimdex. Take it in smaller doses at longer intervals. You need estradiol to feel good too, you just don't want too much of it. Armyguy > I've been taking Androgel 10 gr (two packets for a few months now. Guest guest
Chuck- The next time I go in to the doctor I'll get a bone density test done for sure .... also RT3. I've been feeling pretty well though, and minimal symptoms despite how crazy things have been lately. Thanks for the reply! , You wrote: > ... any advice on these #'s? Guest guest
Hi Getting Older. Are you on thyroid meds if not a TSH this low with a Free t4 at 1.3 shows me you may have a pituitary problem your pituitary is not sending the TSH to your thyroid to make more. So are you saying you sent from 301 TT to 634 TT going from gels to shots. And is the range that looks low to me 175 to 781 going by your age. I don't do well at anything below 800 but that’s me. You sound like your feeling better and doing well this is all that counts. I would start testing Estradiol on every test you do so you can keep an eye on it. Your ED being gone tells me your Estradiol should be good. Now if you could only get your Dr. to give you HCG doing shots of 250 IU's on the 5th and 6th days each after your T shot. Doing this would top off your TRT. gettin_older <gettin_older@...> wrote: After 2 month on 100mg/wk injections: Date 12/8/2007 9/8/2007 Test Range TSH 0.34-3.50 ulU/ml 0.46 T4-Free 0.5-1.6 ng/dl 1.3 Testosterone Total175 - 781 ng/dl 634 Testosterone Total 350-890 ng/dl 301 Sex Hormone Binding Globulin 11-80 nmol/L 20 Free Testosterone 47-244 pg/ml 202 68 % Free Testosterone1.6-2.9% 32 2.3 In September the levels were while taking 7.5gr of Androgel topically each morning. Guest guest
Yes, I am on thyroid meds; I have had Hashimoto's Thyroiditis for many years. I also have sleep apnea. When you add all three conditions, I am always tired. The doubling of my T has certainly hade things much better. I can have sex anytime I want, or I should say when my wife is in the mood (I am always in the mood). I feel much better. I am also hoping to be able to lose weight now that my T levels are up; time will tell. My doc at this time is not willing to work w/me on monitoring my E2, but that may change if I report a reduction in moodd, libido and ability. I will definitely keep an eye on the direction of the erection. When I talked to her about Dr. 's recommendations, she wanted to refer me to an endochrinologist. I decided on a wait and see stance for now. My testicles have shrunk by 40% - 50%, but at my age, I don't need them for reprodution (that's the last thing I need at 51 years old - another kid). Guest guest
My desire ih great, and the plumbing is back in working order w/o the little blue pill and its side effects. Guest guest
Great your doing very good and HCG is not just about the size of your testis. Here is what a friend says about HCF and the lack of LH. ======================================================= " Pregnenolone is an endogenous (naturally produced) steroid hormone that is a precursor to every bodily hormone. Pregnenolone is produced primarily in the testicles in males and the ovaries in females. Although pregnenolone is a precursor hormone to every other hormone made by the body, the site of pregnenolone manufacture will chiefly determine the results of pregnenolone hormone conversion. In males, for example, pregnenolone produced in the testicles has a high probability of converting into testosterone, and pregnenolone produced in the ovaries in females has a high probability of converting into estrogens. In both sexes, pregnenolone produced in the adrenal glands has a high probability of converting into aldersterone, cortisol or DHEA. " From Bodybuilding.com - Pregnenolone Information and Product Listing! Pregnenolone FAQ! Now, its not just the loss of pregnenolone we are concerend with. I am especially concerned with LH receptors and the fact that without hcG, on TRT there is shutdown here. " LHCGR(LH receptors) have been found in many types of extragonadal tissues, and the physiologic role has remained largely unexplored. Thus receptors have been found in the uterus, sperm, seminal vesicles, prostate, skin, breast, adrenals, thyroid, neural retina, neuroendocrine cells, and (rat) brain.[2] " " In the male the LHCGR has been identified on the Leydig cells that are critical for testosterone production, and support spermatogenesis. Normal LHCGR functioning is critical for male fetal development, as the fetal Leydig cells produce testosterone to induce masculinization. Guest guest
Hay I feel for you I lost my sex with bad ED and could not reach an orgasm this went on for 10 yrs. I went out of my way to keep my wife happy. I used a penis pump and would pump it up and put on a ring to keep it up. Yet I could not reach an orgasm so I faked it. Then I found out what was doing this was high Estradiol " E2 " I got this down and wanted to have sex everyday trying to catch up. She was 55 at the time and I was 57 she told me she does not feel like having sex everyday and I understand how she felt. She has a thyroid problem and seen a new Dr. becasue after being on Synthroid for over 15yrs. and not feeling better. The new Dr. tested everything and found her DHEA was very low and he put her on Armour. She started on a high dose of DHEA, Fish Oil and some Adrenal support supplements well in about 6 weeks she was wanting sex again. Turns out women on DHEA it makes there Testosterone go higher. So now I am very happy. > > > > Gettin Older? > > How is your desire for sex at this new level of 634? > > Kissie > > > > Latest Results > > > > > > After 2 month on 100mg/wk injections: > > > > Date 12/8/2007 9/8/2007 > > Test Range > > TSH 0.34-3.50 ulU/ml 0.46 > > T4-Free 0.5-1.6 ng/dl 1.3 > > Testosterone Total175 - 781 ng/dl 634 > > Testosterone Total 350-890 ng/dl 301 > > Sex Hormone Binding Globulin 11-80 nmol/L 20 > > Free Testosterone 47-244 pg/ml 202 68 > > % Free Testosterone1.6-2.9% 32 2.3 > > > > In September the levels were while taking 7.5gr of Androgel > topically > > each morning.
