Guest guest
I just wanted to share something thats recently happened. My daughter, Olivia(no CVID) made a new best friend this yr, with a girl who is new to their school. This is a great kid, and has spent many weekends at our house, and she and her dad have gotten a very brief understanding of whats going on with my other three kids(CVID, and IVIG). Last week, the dad pulled up by me in the school parking lot and asked me what the kids infusion was made from. I started a long explanation, but he stopped me and asked, " ok, but its from plasma, right? " and I said yes. He was so tickled, he said he had gone to donate, and asked them about what he knew of my kids illness, and what he could donate specifically for that......they told him plasma, so thats what he did. And he said he's going to do it regularly, to help kids like mine. I thought this was so sweet. Ive never asked anyone to do this--he thought it up on his own, with my kids in mind. There are still some really nice people in the world. I know we often seem to keep running into the not so nice ones......so I thought Id share this:) valarie mom to three with CVID
