Guest guest
> Does anyone know what it indicates if your blood factors are low (anemia), > but your platelet count is high Gloria, Do an internet search on " hypercoaguability " --start with www.hemex.com .....I can help you out with some info, but am on the fly right now. There may be something in rheumatic archives too--I think a little was posted on this a couple of months ago. If you have an over-clotting disorder, it can contribute to CFS/FM pain. Will talk to you more later. Liz G
Guest guest
Are you seeing a cml specialist? If not you should. It is well known that if your gleevec levels are too low the cml can mutate and gleevec becomes ineffective. Last summer my platelets skyrocketed (other numbers were ok). My dr immediately ordered tests to see if the disease had mutated (it had). A bmb confirmed the cml was back and I started sprycel based on those tests. You do not need to wait and see. Your dr should be changing your treatment or you should be changing your dr. Guest guest
Hi Margie I had same issue w Gleevec. Due to side effect fatigue, weight gain and GI problems I was on reduced dose of gleevec 200 mg for few month, and find out that I lost 1 log and my CML number start to rise. Now I am back on 400 and my cml cell start to decrease again. I can,t complain now after gleevec have safe me again. Hope my experience help you to decide what to do.
