That's GREAT! I am so glad to hear it! You've eased my mind about next

Best wishes,

Kinda makes you wonder what all the fuss was about! LOL CONGRATS!!!! It only

gets better from here. says it does " burn " a bit at first, so he walks

around the house until he gets used to it. It helps him. Today he only made one

lap around the house before he settled down. YIPEE!!!!!

Yeah we made it!! Overall it went well. Jake had A LOT of anxiety, at one point

he was begging for us to just use his port. He also had moderate to severe

discomfort at one of the needle sites for the first 20 minutes or so...we could

not figure out if it was the wings of the needle or the Viva..everything looked

good so we put some gause under the wings and stopped the infusion to that site.

When we started the infusion back without his knowledge he screamed! But after

20 minutes of adjustments and such he calmed down and the remainder of the

infusion went great. I was amazed at how easy it was! I was not nervous at all

and I did not mess up!! I had a nurse over my shoulder the entire time. We are

going back to the infusion center next Friday and then I am on my own! I feel so

much freedom now!!MistyJake age 6 selective antibody def.
