Well-lets lighten all this up a little and here is a great one for you all! Yesterday my oldest-- who is 18-had her gallbladder removed. Nothing serious, just needed to be done. My sister took Maddie for the weekend and this week to help out! Then the phone call came. Maddie had gone ice skating-gotta love all that energy from IvIg! She fell and hurt her arm. I brushed it off as my sister being overprotective of Mad and told them to give her some tylenol and call me in the morning! Well, they called, my dad went and got her since I could not leave surgery girl by herself. I gave some pain meds, told her to sleep and I took Mad to immediate care-still thinking that nothing was wrong other than a pulled muscle. Well-for a change my mommy instinct was WRONG! She broke her humerous bone up near the shoulder joint! She's in lots of pain and it is a nasty break! We are going to the orthopedic Dr tomorrow-What a holiday break at our house! I am ready to go back to work and send them to school! Hope everyone has a great and safe New Years Eve. I am planning on being home with a bunch of my oldest daughters friends coming over to keep her company! I hear that bottle of wine calling my name! Becky in IN-mom to Maddie-age 12-cvid, IvIg, gerd, asthma-a lovely broken arm!
