Guest guest
My prior email went off before I was ready...darn laptop. Anyway, the fasting is tolerable, just takes getting used to. You should have an EKG before starting and regularly after. I started Tasigna in June of 2008. My dr. had me start at 400 mg. once a day. After about 3 weeks, I was moved up to the standard dose of 800 mg. taken in two 400 mg. doses. The doses should be as close to 12 hours apart as you can get. I feel GREAT on Tasigna. I feel fortunate that I have tolerated it very well and my tests show very good results too. I hope you do as well. I became PCRU after being on Tasigna for only a couple of months, although I was only slightly detectable on Gleevec. I stopped Gleevec due to pleural effusions and ascites from that drug, so Sprycel wasn't an option for me. Good luck with Tasigna, I hope you feel as well as I do and get great results! in NY
