Guest guest
Thanks, I really needed an edvertisement on the google search engine and how to use it. Thanks so much that helps alot.It helps my RA too:) In a message dated 10/6/01 8:39:27 PM Eastern Daylight Time, lbodonald@... writes: Have to add 2 more bits here: you [and I don't mean you personally but anyone who might want to know this] actually don't need a specific link per se in order to verify that what might be a hoax actually is a hoax. If you have such a link, that's great and it can be bookmarked to access again later. What you can also do is just go to a search site like Google, type in a key word or two from the suspected message plus the word hoax and do a search. Assuming that you've got a hoax on your hands, that will call up lots of sites such as the one from Symantec and the one a posted and numerous others. --just something I find handy to use; maybe it will be of use to someone else.... --Louise To unsubscribe, email: rheumatic-unsubscribeegroups

I remember the first time I forwarded one and got a TON of hoax sites, the longest list ever the newsgroup had seen LOL. But before we drop it I wanted to send this one also which has hoax warnings specific to the US terrorist attacks. Interesting stuff and the reason so many are touchy right now. Take care, Liz G. http://www.csicop.org/hoaxwatch/
