Guest guest
I have a question, , how do I soak in a solution when I can't lie down in a tub? I have awful skin tears, too and they take a long time to heal, the gashes just peel like an orange and I try to seal it back with an antiseptic or antibiotic cream before bandaging it up. People ask me what is wrong with my arms, it looks like I have been beaten up. I just say it is a platelet problem. ________________________________ Hi Lottie, I am one of those people who love being in hot water!! literally....soaking in a tub feels so good to me, or warm ocean water like in Maui. If you can't lie in a tub, I think you could make up a small batch of this mix and soak towels in it and place on your arms, etc. BUT I am not sure that you should do this with any open wounds, which it sounds like you may have. It might draw out too much body fluid. I do have another suggestion for you. There are skin dressings used primarily with burns that are sterile, you apply and wrap lightly with a guaze dressing and they can stay in place for several days, and they really promote healing. Now for my story, because you love stories. I had a very small Min. American Eskimo that was attacked under my deck probably by a raccoon. Shasta had a couple large areas where the skin was ripped off and her tail looked like it was going to have to be amputated. The Vet applied these dressing and the skin literally healed under the dressing....and even her happy wagging tail was saved, which amazed the Vet. I think this would promote much quicker healing for you and also protect from infection while the skin is still open. You might goggle something like bio-skin dressings (but these are synthetic, not biological) or burn dressings. Hope this might help sweet Lottie,
