Guest guest
So, I went to a new pediatrician today ... to check it out. Our neighbor told us about him b/c she uses him. I read up on him Monday night, and found out he was from MI and had worked in the Children's Hospital up there... first plus!! So we get there, he comes in, and I start talking to him about the kids. I mention that they were just diagnosed with PIDD earlier this year and boy! off he goes with the questions!! Are they being seen at Emory? Do they have an Infectious Disease Dr? Have they checked this? Is it T-cell? Is is compound (or something???) is it this? is it that? Have they checked this? With Jayden's Asthma have they checked him for Cystic Fibrosis? I mentioned a few more concerns and he was dead on them ... I LOVED him!!! He mentioned a few concerns with the allergist treating them for this ... and I can see where he's coming from. I told him that she's leaving the practice anyway, and that if he wanted them to be seen at Emory, then that was ok ... I could get a second opinion. I told him that she was just about to start IVIG on Jayden and he said, welp, then I guess we need to hurry and get him in Emory then! I want them here with me, and ASAP ... I want to be very closely in touch with you, I want to be in touch with a team of Dr's about their health ... if they run fevers, we need to see them. If this happens, this is our plan ... I mean, WOW! I was HIGHLY impressed!!!! I am still just digesting everything!!!! Of course my husband is sitting here saying (I don't want my kids turned into lab rats .... ) but ... he just doesn't get this stuff ... and what I have been dealing with by myself over the last 7mos! But at any rate .... I am pleased!!! Just thought I would update you guys ...
