Guest guest
Well things started out fine. Now, after 8 years of being told by Dr. that my daughter has selective antibody deficiency, Dr. Demuth has decided that she does not. The recent pneumonia that she had was serotype 14. Dr. Demuth has the pneumococcal antibody results from the lab in South Carolina and says that she is making antibodies to 8 out 12, based on her numbers. Therefore she does not have an antibody deficiency, and she doesn't need to do any pre and post vaccination levels. Also, therefore she doesn't need to be on any type of medication. NONE. When I tried to question her on this she insisted that because she had numbers over 2 ug that she was fine. Well, I got home and have started digging up old records. I have found that in 2005 she also was making more than 2ug to 7 out of 12 ...............but her post vaccination numbers did not show that she responded to the vaccination and therefore was antibody nonresponsive and therefore deficient. I don't know what to do now. Dr. is in retirement faze and is also fixing to have back surgery in the next week .......so I can't get to him. This is just unbelieveable. I don't know what to do.
