Guest guest
* I read it and it says that it's a non-pathogenic yeast called Saccharomyces boulardii lyo. I almost got into an argument with the poor gal when I saw that it was a yeast. Especially when their information claims say that " Studies have shown it [Florastor ] may be effective against parasites, candida albicans, cholers, salmonella, C-difficile, IBS, crohn's diseasae, traveler's diarrhea, and anti-biotic associated diarrhea. Everything I've read tells me that one doesn't fight an overgrowth of yeast with yeast. Am I wrong?? The yeast is not one that stays in the body. It passes through. I have read the same things about it. More for leaky gut then anything else. It's pretty cheap my bottle was about 7.00 with shipping. As usual for me I have an allergic reaction to it like most things. If you want my bottle with only one or two pills out of it for postage let me know. Guest guest
Dictionary says: pathogenic \Path`o*gen " ic\, a. [Gr. ? disease + the root of ? birth.] (Med. & Biol.) Of or pertaining to pathogeny; producting disease; as, a pathogenic organism; a pathogenic bacterium. ---------- ---------- pathogenic adj : able to cause disease; " infective agents " ; " pathogenic bacteria " [syn: infective, morbific] ---------- They claim their yeast is non-pathogenic and only stays in the body 4 days after you stop taking the supplement. I know what you mean about yeast but then they use snake venom to make anti-venom. Guest guest
It would be nice if they would tell us which type of leukemia they were treating--the treatments are quite different for different varieties of the disease.
